Can you get an OEM carb kit? A couple of years ago Dad tried to get one for his 026 and the Stihl dealer said, "Stihl doesn't sell carb kits, only complete carbs."

Get carb branded kit straight from carb manufacturer. Ie Walbro or Zamia kit, etc. if I can’t get those, then I look towards the off brand kits.

I think the original thing wrong was carb limiters and a man that does not know about them. Notice that the replacement does not have them.

Like why the saw got destroyed in the first place, or why I was having trouble fixing it? If this is supposed to to be a ding on me somehow, you should know that I removed the limiters before trying to adjust the carb.

I just bought an off brand carburetor for an 026 I'm working on. I'll let you know in a few days how it turned out. I'm still waiting on a few parts so I can put it together and better weather won't hurt either..
