I was watching that show the other day in my room "Gardening by the Yard." The host had some tree work done at his property and I believe at another property. While they did give good reasons why you should hire an arborist, and what an arborist is.. I saw MANY safety violations. The owner of the tree company is ISA certified. Some of the safety problems I saw were...
1) 2 people in an aerial lift of some form? 1 guy cutting with a top handled echo chain saw while the other guy held onto the limb being cut not even 5 feet away.
2) using a chain saw with only being on a lifeline... no belly line being used.
3) felling a medium sized sycamore with a chain saw that lacked a chain brake, or even a hand guard.
4) using the chain saw too much on a pruning job... when a Zubat would have worked just fine.
5) LOTS of 1 handed saw use.

I am sure that there were other things... those were just the ones that stuck out in my mind.
