Anybody using these cans from Sherrill? Are they as much a pain as the rest of the no spill/self venting cans?

We have a couple of the 2.5 gallon cans. They are made by www.nospill.com, and that particular model is now discontinued and replaced with a CARB compliant model.

They work fairly well. You still have to be careful pouring gas, even with the shutoff valve it is easy to underestimate how fast the gas comes out. The biggest drawback is that on most of our older cans there is some small leakage around the valve part. If exposed to the sun for a while, gas will make its way into the funnel and past the little dust cap.

One model was leaking badly, I called the service department at nospill and they mailed me a replacement can within a week. Great customer service!

Its just a freakin gas can, take that goofy lid/spout off and pour, if you spill a bit no big deal.

I have one, and I like it. I'm going to get another one for unmixed gas for the lawn mower. The only problem I have experienced with it is that if you leave it in the sun it builds up vapor pressure. If you dont releave the pressure before you pour you may more gas faster than you expect.

I keep 4 plastic 5 gal cans behind the cab of my pick. One red straight gas, 2 blue deisel and one yellow mix. They at different times blow up like a dear carcass on the side of the road or suck up like a straw on a thick milkshake. I ignore this as much as possible. Man what a dead Sat night? Talking gas cans and sober as a judge....or priest....errr....just sober.

At these prices if you spill 5 oz, you've spilled over $1.

If you spill on the new asphault, the client will have a fit.

If you spill on the grass, and a patch dies...

If you spill on my spray on tailgate, I'll get upset.

One should carry a piece of cardboard box to pour on no matter whatOne should carry a piece of cardboard box to pour on no matter what. I like printer paper carton covers.

But I can tell that Clearance is pouring some one elses gas. ;)

I pour my own gas now, but I spilled a lot of other peoples over the years till I got used to it, my hands are steady. One thing I do really watch for is spilling chain oil, wouldn't want someone to slip and fall.

If anyone can find a can a mexican can't spill gas out of I will buy it. They are natural born gas spillers. If I was smart enough I would invent such a can and call it the mexi-can.

Sweet-first time posting a link and it worked for me! I like these cans, just have to make sure you don't fill the tank all the way before releasing the pour handle cause you have the gas still in the spout that needs to fit in the tank. No big deal once you get used to it.

Nice can, but when metal cans get dented they rust, and they will get dented eventually. Did I see, gasp, 95.oo$ ?

Maybe so, but have had 2 cans like the one above that i have been using every day for over 7 years now. And you are right-banged and beaten up but still functioning. $190 well spent in my book. Osha's never given me a problem with my metal cans yet either. And i have yet to find a plastic can with a spill proof nozzle that i like as much as the one on these cans. Just my $.02 though.:D
