I was wundering how many of you have a Gas Self feeding Chipper Disk or Drum ? Im not talking about a Chuck-N-Duck.Does it seem to have enough power? Is it reliable? :blob2:

I have a chuck'n'duck... also a Vermeer 1250 with the same Ford inline 6; never a problem with either power or reliability.

The Altec has 1700hrs, the Vermeer 4300. (roughly)

Olathe 984 (Disc w/dual Hydraulic feed rollers)with 2.3 litre Ford 4 cylinder. It never even stutters on stuff up to 5inch diameter-you hear no change/ the engine gets no extra load. On bigger stuff (8-10 inch or LONG 6inch) I can hear a gradual drop in rpms and increase in engine loading.

I have a Morbark with the 4.9 Ford. Starts every time and runs all day. I have to run larger than 8 inch stuff to pull it down noticeably. -Ralph
