Thanks Dan, we should definately do that again! It took me a little over 4 1/2 hours to get there and with Dans over the mountain shortcut I made it home in 4 1/2 hours................but had time for a sit down dinner at a truck stop on the way! Fuel economy dropped a little with 80mph average cruising speed though.

Thanx Stihltech. I enjoyed the climb and thank GlenS for a good job of handling the ground/ropework!

I also need to mention Geofore who helped out Glen on the some technical issues of the groundwork.

The bar oil deal may be the only useful information garnered from this gig, if you're lucky. Let's see; if we take an exhaust system from an Edsel, cylinder heads from a Chrysler, a gas tank from a Ford, some pistons from various lawnmowers, throw in some port timing figures donated by Ken Dunn and time cuts by counting, "one-one-thousand", maybe we'll have enough variables to choke a Cray. It's a credibility thing.

Hell, there weren't no invite list.  I didn't have an invite and nobody ran me off.  People who could've showed up, but didn't, have every right and ought to be sour about it.

Wow, what a great time.

Thanks, Dan, for the great opportunity!

it sounds like u fellas had an heck ofa time. as to the bar oil statement. thats got a hint of a little green jelousy toit..
yall know me. i aint good as rocky is at it ,,but i purty much callit like i see it..
in other wds i aint socialy or politicaly correct...
as to bar oil being important. ive said before.. this is one aea that in my opinion theys room for improvement,,
as to every day cutting.. just like mobil 1 4stroke has shown to possess properties that do make a 4 stroke,, funtion better,, run cooler an last longer...
the way a chain is oiled ,,and the type of lubricant used,, can be made better than the present base of knowledge allows..
and i aint talkin about from epa,, point o veiw. fo u fellas thats concerned about
tenth of a second improvements .. im betting the first one to get to what im talkin about. . will shave a couple o more tenths off. then later this knowledge will trickle dn an help the workin man in everday aplication.just my opinion ,,i welcomes yalls view.

Absolutely a great time.
Very worthwhile way to spend a Saturday, or for some of you, a weekend.

Indiana, West Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania hope I didn't miss any state, all had contestants.

Dan & Sharon, Thank you for the idea, and hospitality.

Should this be known as the First Annual Saw Fest?
Should give it a handle......"Henry's Saw Fest?" or "Sawing & Eating Fest", or _ _ _ _ _ _ (your suggestions).

Fellow AS attending members, wives, and last but not least....your dogs.

Enjoyed watching you all just having alot of fun!!!!!

The friendly competition, seeing competitors help each other with 'Tips & Tricks'.
Letting others try each others saws, helping each other set up the log stands, gave the picture of AS member there to enjoy the Saw Fest first, and doing what they each could to make it enjoyable for the others.

Yes, even cooking good-good-food for each other was just great.

Ribs, ham ( cooked in peanut oil pot) still have me craving.
You 'cooks', if you ever get out of the saw dust business...you can have another career.

Josh(Dan's son), and the 'Junior Grillers' really knocked out some great hot dogs, and burgers. Wonder if their parents can capitalize on that when company isn't around????

The variety and amount of food inside the 'Henry Indoor Saw Mill',....well let's just say....anyone who went away hungry can only look into the mirror and see who caused the hunger.

Must admit, the "Landlubber fishermans outdoor refrigerator" that can also be used to catch fish was the most unique one I've ever seen. Especially the forward mounted outboard motor.
Soon, I'll post the pictures

Thank you all for a great time!

PS: Still trying to keep AS names, and real faces together.

which limb? an arm or a leg?
No arms or legs, Work safe and Live long, tree limbs only. The tree is just a few feet on the up hillside of sheds #1#2#3, any slip up and it's into the roof of one of them with the limbs. Adding to the fun was the breeze swaying the slender tree and piped saws running in the background making it more difficult to give instructions to the ground crew(glens). First limb was above the 60' of footlocking Rich did to get up there and then he worked his way down removing the dead and broken limbs. Landing Zone in the narrow space between the targets.
Good job Rich.
