At a local dealer I found a MS200T for 419.00 and change for 20 dollars more you get an extra chain, case , and a hat. I think that's a good deal.:p I've been shopping for a while now and haven't found one for under 460.00 and change. The deal only goes on through the winter. Then the price goes back up. The dealer said it was priced 10 dollars above cost. I really wanted the 020T, because I like it the best, but you can't get a new one any more unless you run across someone who has one left. I would like to get some openions on this. Such as price and if sthil has really made a better saw than the 020T. Thanks BB

Other than perhaps the gas and oil caps, the only change is the number printed on the side of the saw. Stihl changed the numbers on the American saws to match the designations of all the rest of their equipment worldwide. This has been covered many times in the chainsaw forum but some still insist on thinking it is a different saw. It is still the same saw.

They also put the high needle back on:rolleyes:

I've heard a few people complain about the raised lip around the fluid holes. I sorta like the ratcheting caps, can't over thighten them.

Guy broke down while i was down there and bought one too.

Agree with eveyone else. MS200 is still 20T. Have owned 5-6 of them so far. Just purchased MS200 early last year. Oil and gas cap are nice. Did not realize the high carb adjustment, will be nice.

When I bought first one they were about 6-650.00

I thought they were all the same, is that not so??
200 = 020
440 = 044
660=066

I really thought they were the same with new gas caps.

You're right Nate. I first saw them at a trade show and asked the reps if there was any real differeance. "Nope."

I was told that they changed the numbering for the above mentioned reason and because the previouse line of numbers was not allowing them to introduce new lines, or show alteration of existing ones.

I know the Ms200t atd the 020t are the same saws. Just a few changes. I was wanting to know what price you guys usualy see them at? If you guys thought the Ms200T was a better improvement on the 020T. I'm on getting ready to purchase one for my self to do side work and wanted to make sure I was getting a good priced saw. Thanks for all the imput though.

Let me repeat myself. IT'S THE SAME SAW!! It's this year's model, like the difference between a 2002 F-150 and a 2003 F-150 truck. They have to make some minor cosmetic changes occassionally, but IT'S THE SAME SAW!

Sorry

I got your point. the MS200T and the 020T are identical saws. Cool. So 419.00+tax is a good price. Thanks...
