My Husky 51 of about 8 years quit yesterday. Decided to get a new saw instead of even looking at the plugs or anything.

Have a Husky 385XP for big.

Have a Stihl MS390 for medium.

Have a Poulan $100 saw for cutting roots in the dirt.

So for light cutting and lots of ground pruning, I was looking for about a $300 choice.

The 346XP looked pretty good, but was a bit high for my need.

The 350 was priced right, and the vibration is supposed to be very low.

Fired it up this morning - one of the smoothest little saws I've ever used.

Even an easy start compression release on a $300 saw.

I have had experience with the Jonsered version of that saw, the 2150. They are holding up very well, and they are very easy to service. The Jonsered service tape shows them coming apart and going back to gether in a very few minutes.

That whole series of saw, 340, 345, and 350 have proven to be good saws for the money. Excellent choices for anyone who isn`t planning on using it commercially as their primary saw. They also respond very well to muffler mods but of course that makes them more obnoxious in a residential setting.

I saw where someone posted in a thread on another board where they were seeing alot of intake or seal leaks on the 350, but then he admitted that he works in a Stihl/Echo dealership. How many Huskies do you think he really works on? Just more of the same old ingrained (inbred?) Stihl biased crap. Some guys just can`t help themselves.
