I was talking saws with a friend, and had mentioned that someday I'd want a little 'trim style' saw for really light duty work. So he said he had an old little red saw that I could have (given to him by his brother) that needed parts and didn't run. Of course I said sure, I'd take it. Turns out it's a Wright 111. I never heard of that brand name. After a little research, I found out it was made by Poulan based on the Poulan 20 (XX). I did some searching here on AS and found a parts list (for the Poulan version) and am looking for a service manual...anybody have one (Wright or Poulan version) for sale? Or a computer file version? I know it's a little saw, and I have some mechanical skills, but I would still like the use of a service manual. Also does anyone know of a source for parts for this saw? Does anybody have any information I should know about this saw (Wright or Poulan version)? It's going to sit on a shelf until I get my 044 together...but I'll be on the look out for parts I know I need, just by looking at it as I got it.

If I can get it going, it'll be perfect for what I want to do with it. Here's what it looks like as I received it:

You've caught the disease; you're toast.:greenchainsaw:

I was wondering if (or when) someone would notice... . I've looked at other members signature lines lines and thought that I'd never have that many saws...just enough for what I need...that I would never get the bug...but... :) . Besides, it was free...:)

Free??? :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:

That's the easy part!!!:D

I get it...it's free, but doesn't run...therefore costing me money... :) . My only rational thinking is that I can fix it at my own pace...whereas putting all the money into it at one time if buying a running saw...and I get to learn while fixing...:)
