Im just trying to find replacement blades for this chipper. As it was never brought into NZ nobody seem to know. I see baileys and sherrill both have chipper knives for sale and by its measurements it looks like it takes the same blades as the gravely/promark 310 but cant be 100% sure, anyone out there know?
Im also looking at putting in a second feed roller in it, does anyone know of a good distributor of parts for the little tree chewing machines?

The 625 LR does have the same blades as the 310 or 350. Just check the dimensions and that it is double bevel.
9/16 x 2-3/4 x 10 inches.

for parts I've heard this company has bought the old gravely chipper line. M-B companies. practically in my backyard.

Hey Mac, Does this mean that you have the chipper now? Just curious, Why a second feed roller? I've never used a Gravely but generally speaking, my observation has been that machines using one feed roller are less prone to jamming at the feed roller than those with 2. (If it isn't broken-don't fix it!) Regarding knives I've used both Zenith and Simonds. Both are fine and the companies have given prompt, courteous service.

The more I use this chipper the better it gets, had a few little issues that are easily being sorted out. I had been ordering a heap of things from Baileys and wanted to get blades at the same time. Thanks for the info Proj! Most appreciated! Just couldnt find any info anywhere and the books for it are still in transit.
It did about 3 hours of macrocarpa today without missing a beat, it had a kind of cush drive for the hydralic pump which frankly stank and I have had that replaced with a facing cog and double chain system, works wonders!
Yeah I can see what you mean stumper about having trouble with 2 feed rollers, Its just that this doesnt like branch unions, Ive probably been a bit spoilt using my mates heavy duty 6 inch that eats everything without fail. Perhaps I just have to be more patient and do more prep before feeding it,
Im rapped with it, its some of the best money ive spent, NO MORE LOADING TRAILERS< NO MORE 44 CUTDOWNS, NO MORE PAYING 70$ per TONNE AT THE TIP! Just cant thank Marky Mark enough. I have been doing the same removal job for just about 2 weeks and between the chainsaw winch, speedline and chipper I have halved the amount of backwork involved. Another day or 2 and the monsters will be no more!

I know the 625's sometimes have issues with wide "Y" crotches. The feed throats are more square than rectangular. I've found that when feeding them, it is best to have the flow control (if it's on the unit) cranked up to the max speed for the feed rollers. This usually helps with pulling limbs through. Also be sure to sharpen the feed roller blades. Amazing what a difference it can make by having those blades touched up with an angle grinder.

Timber did you get my email.
I would like to know if you got the filters and books with the keys.
