Hiya everyone its the buffalo again,im embarking on a project to find out abt the great old trees of the world,it does,nt matter where your from iwant to find out where the great old trees are and need some pics and history of the trees and the best way to find out how old a tree is ,without touching the tree (not cutting down and counting rings,)

I live in south east Iowa, there is a red oak tree not far from my house (15 miles or so) that is more than five feet in diameter. The tree is in the front yard of an old farm house. I would put this up near the top of old trees in the area.
