I was wondering how many of you guys use ground pads.what is a good price for them 24 inches wide 8ft long.the thaw hopefully is close or do you use plywood.the only problem with plywood storage and gets heavy. any ideas would be great:greenchainsaw:

I use Alturna mats, well worth the cost, buy 4-6 a year to help with cost. we buy from Dica, great service. The 3'x8' size works well.

We buy from Dica, Try Dica.com, if no luck, let me know, and I will get off my ass and look in my files.

In searching, I've found AlturnaMats to be $201-$210 for each 8'x3'x1/2" piece, plus shipping, and they ship heavy freight, so make your order count. SherrilTree (AS sponsor) has a package price on quantity orders.

I figure 4 mats just for a lift or truck, and 4 more to leapfrog so 8 as a minimum first order, then include them in your monthly/annual budget to cover your typical access issues. Urban backyards would need enough pads to cover 75' from sidewalk to rear property line, unless you leapfrog them, and then its a labor/time issue, so more pads may be cheaper in the long run if you have the room to transport them.

They also make outrigger pads, didn't get a price on them though, prefer a stiffer material for outrigger use.
