This Groundie is great when it comes to getting brush drug off, and raking up. the delima comes when he claims to be an old school logger from the Pacific NorthWest that has topped out hundreds of 70footers. I had a cottonwood removal yesterday that I couldnt finnish because the last of the crown I had to remove was swaying back and forth about 3 ft in the 40mph wind, and I couldnt even let go of the spar to make a cut, much less calculate where the wind was going to blow the top once I cut it. I balked out and said that I would finish the job on a calmer day. He recoiled and said the he could do it. All I had to do was trust him. I spent my military career with out having to write letters to the deceaseded families. . I dont want to start now. I have had the oppurtunity of having a top of a cotton wood come back ontop of me when the wind picked up, and got away with a nasty rope burn. I really dont want to have to prove my point with this guy with sutures or broken bones. Tree work looks soooooo easy from the ground. Not to mention propety damage when he screws the pootch.
