Hi Ed, turns out I had too many logs to make a load. It's half load season, so they had to be forwarded a mile to a gravel pit with two trips, then reloaded,so we just kicked out a few pallet grade. No pic though.
Gotta love these long days though, now I can come home, play around on AB, have a nap, then go back to work. It's like having two days in one.

I think Ed makes a good point regarding statements about anyone`s relatives, they should be left out of any bickering or criticism between members. I also think that Ed misread the prior posts as defamatory to tjf`s ancestors when they weren`t aimed toward his assumed grandfather, but rather Tommy himself.

Now for the remarks about Tommy. I`ll never say that he hasn`t made his own bed concerning the attitudes that many on AS hold toward him. But there is nothing at all antagonistic in this thread coming from Tommy. I think that some members are acting the same way that Tommy has that got him in such deep, perpetual hot water. We can`t continue to snipe Tommy and then get irate when he does it to his favorite targets.

I don`t mind getting involved in moderating or mediating on this forum, I volunteered for it, but it is a waste of server space for me to continually ask you guys to act the same way we all expect Tommy act. It also makes us look like a bunch of low brows if we are constantly back biting each other. I hate to pluck certain responses out of a thread because it will be hard to do without affecting the context of the thread, but I feel that AS will be best served if I start doing this.

If anyone has any issues with this, please bring it to me off the forum so that we can atleast have an outwardly civil face.

Thanks, Russ

I talk often with a couple of the shop guys at Bailey's. The Fales family is well known to them. Great reputation but rough around the edges.

I never got involved in bantering wtih or about the Fales, but rather have read all the stuff...would rather we all get along..and slough off any disagreements. Light hearted always work better.

That`s right Roger. As Gypo, the famous chainsaw mediator has so often said, brush shoulders and laugh on the way past.

In fact that might be a good thing for the progeny since the guy in the photo needed supervision just to buck a log.

Ouch.......Glens are you a timber faller? If you are I would be interested to see some of your pictures or your grandfathers or whatever.

Thanks, Leslie Fales

Yeah, well, me too.  My last post wasn't intended to be a snipe and I've added a footnote to it which might steer it a little away from that direction.

Okay.......Enough is enough for those of you who don't care for my brother, but then again wouldn't it be boring for those of you who are always on here mmmm??????? A few of you are very one-sided and have been able to say whatever you wanted and some of it as bad as what you have said my brother has done so quit your pissin and moanin women and move on please.

Thank you, Leslie

Leslie, it looks like (I hope) you got a copy of that before I added the clarification that the statement was tongue in cheek.

No, I'm not a timber faller.  But in light of your question, I feel it's appropriate to say that although some of my ancestors/relatives in several directions have done noteworthy things, it really wouldn't be much good for me to brag about them.  Bragging is only (if) ever appropriate for things one has achieved on their own.  I mean, really, who cares if my sister were recently mayor of Jackson, Wyoming?  What has that got to do with me beside some happy coincidence several decades ago in which I was involved only after the fact?

Hey Leslie,

how's your nephew andy doing? Is he still down under, or back home with lots to tell? I really enjoyed your stories.

Glens, true bout your sis? Jackson Hole is one of my favorite spots...incredible scenery, skiing, climbing.

I like to brag about my cousin... a few times removed....another fella with a stellar reputation for tall stories...but also the first white man to see Great Salt Lake......Jim Bridger.

well my daddyanthony wayne marks.. was named after some kinda famouse officer in ,,i think the revolutionary war. so thar top that:)

Yup, it's true Roger.  When it came time to run again she decided against it but garnered a fair percentage of the vote anyway.  She's popular in her sleep while I can't even reach high enough to tie popularity's shoes when I'm wide awake.  Something about it takes being a friend to have friends or catching flies with honey instead of vinegar...

Yeah, Leslie, what's up with Andy?  Have his edges been sufficiently ruffled yet or does he need more time?
