Hardhat Suspension

Howdy Folks,

I picked up a couple of aluminum hardhats at an antique store and need new suspension systems for them. They are BF Mcdonalds, one is a full brim with a six piont suspension and the other looks like a big baseball cap with a four point suspension system.

Where can you find suspension systems for them?

Baileys lists MacDonald T suspensions, although they only show a 4 point suspension. You may want to talk to them, and see what they can dig up for you.

I wear a bullard six strap , but its plastic. Damnitt, I was just trying to help.

I believe you will find the 4pt is the only suspension available for the aluminum lids. I would like to find some 6pt but they are NLA.

If you want to put out the bucks a tailor shop or a shoe repair shop might be able to help. Madsen's has some four point inserts for the Mac T but I haven't seen six pointers in a long time.

You won't find any new six point systems. Four pointers are all over the place.
If you need one I can get one. PM if interested.

Thanks for all the info. I do see the four point one on Baileys. I guess I will have to watch ebay for the six piont or maybe fix up the old one. Again Thanks everyone.
