Ah, no deal

Do I have to give up the belt because I'm so in love with my Demi I can't get away from the new TV, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Tell ya what Joat lets makes a deal. Since I'm love struck with my new TV how bout you carry the belt over to Woodie and let him wear it for awhile. Soon as the fantacy wears off on the new TV I'll come knock him out in 10 seconds, maybe less, and return to the site to shoot the bull like always, whatcha say Joat, please let me watch that woman on my big screen. It would kill me to let her walk in that bikini and not stare at her yummy hiny, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, BRB, she's on now,LOLOL

former CHAMP,

This pains me Tommie, but no deal. I was hoping you'd come to your senses, put down the remote, and let me hand the title back where it belongs.

But, and this is a big one, Woodie is not ready for center stage. Yep, he's improved. But I just can't hand the title to Woodie.

The former CHAMP has class, is wise beyond his years, has a good heart, and is always fair. (For those of you at home, think Elvis, Ali, John Wayne and Abe Lincoln in their glory days.) The Woodster, well, he falls short.

I will keep the title till you recover, Woodie gets his act together, or a worthy contender reveals himself.

Awaiting your return,

THE CHAMP (aka Joatmon)

Mohammed Ali was a coward. Same as any draft dodger. IMHO

Fred

Fred did you know Ali failed the first exam (he wasn't too bright ya know) and was later screwed by the government because they didn't want him mouthing off about civil rights. They lowered the bar on the exams so his score would pass so they could ship him outta here and shut him up. Thats why the Surpreme Court over turned the whole thing. Not many want to admit the real story or even know the real story. Even Cosell admitted the government tried to shut up Ali by sending him to Nam, didn't work. The real cowards were in DC trying to shut up Ali and the black movement altogether. Back then there was a movement going on and it came to pass. Johnson passed the civil rights bill and the south has never gotton over it to this day. I hate politics but the Ali case was cut and dry and he fought the real cowards and won.

The only problem I have is people who hide behind religion. The only universal truth is people all over the world hide behind religion.

When you think about it, I am the exact opposite of Ali. I'm surely not an athelete for starters, but his attitude about fighting is the opposite of mine about fornication.............

See, he wanted to get paid well for fighting and boxing paid better than Saigon, but there was no retirement or benefits in boxing.

While my attitude on fornication is if someone wanted to pay me that kind of money I'm out, I'll keep the old lady and have the benefits.

Talk about fighting for one's freedom and the freedom of others.

I understand exactly what your saying Fred but boxing was dead when Clay came in the picture. It was runned by the mob for the most part. Clay brought boxng back to life by shooting off his mouth promoting his own fights. He spoke up about civil rights and at that time that was a no no. Looking at him now all the money he made won't give him his health so what did he gain in the end, nothing really. He did open the door to some great fighters that weren't run by the mob and had he not boxing as we know it today would be gone. In the middle 60's alot was going on and the government was intent on doing whatever it could to halt the up rising. What they pulled on Clay didn't work. Cosell said it best, they merely tried to shut him up by shipping him outta here. Few really know the whole story and call him a coward and draft dodger but Surpreme Court took his side, must have meant something was wrong, bigtime wrong and it was.

What god people pray to doesn't interest me. God is used in so many ways by so many people for their own reasons its beyond approach. Take Tom Delay. Ran around on his wife, then found God, that made the running around ok, automaticly forgiven in his eyes, Newt the same deal. Clinton the same deal. Jesse Jackon, sickening, can't stand him. Clay on the other hand didn't turn to God to fight off a sneaky government changing the bar to ship his mouth outta here. He took it all the way and won.

Well, you obviously have some strong feelings on the subject. I do also. He did alot for boxing and people are revered for doing less for there sport.

How about Husky.

Politics isn't my thing at all. I don't care much for the Repubs or the Dems. Both lay in the same bed far as I'm concerned. Raising hell over a man thats almost a cripple today and hollering about things 40 years ago, good grief. One thing is for certain, the avatar stays unless I can find another like it in color,LOL.

Well, we've many things in common, you and me. Judging a man upon him being a liberal or a democrat is as stupid as it can be. Once either party is in power, they behave all the same (greed and power is universal to mankind imo)

For what it's worth, For the first time in my life, I became member of a political party in Belgium a while ago, that against all odds, was able to get into the parliament during this year's federal elections. The party was founded last year by a man who had been a succesfull sports coach, and made a fast political career with a leading center/right wing conservative party in Belgium.

His new party is called 'common sense'. Not a sexy name, I know, but it stands so well for something we have been missing for the last decades in Belgium.

Husky makes indeed great saws .... (but not the best, hehe...)
