heated handles dont work??

Hi all, i've just aquired a used ms460 artic and the heated handles do not work. Is there anything special that is should check? What is the normal check out proceedure? Thanks ray

I do not know about the Stihl's, but i usually pull the switsh and see if there is power up to it, if there is then I check komponents.

this makes me wonder... exhaust shunt + handle tubes == tuned pipe + heated handle?

Partner had the exoust heated handels for many years.

Dolmar used to use exhaust to heat the handles, even had a pipe cleaner kit to keep it working.
