Hello all!
Wanted to take a second to introduce myself. Been around saws most of my life, but keep finding myself more in a position of need here lately. We had a tornado tear through central Arkansas a few weeks back and running my saws for the last few weekends while assisting with cleanup really reminded me how much I miss the work. I was never an arborist, but used to work in outdoor facility maintenance which required a lot of chainsaw use. Now, I'm a project manager dealing with the planning of electrical transmission lines. Office job is easier on the body, but I strangely miss that "tired" feeling after a good hard day's work.
Currently own a Stihl 026 and a 271 Farm Boss. Probably going to sell the 271 and pick up a Stihl 462 or a Husky 572xp. That 18" bar on the 026 isn't cutting it anymore. I seem to be leaning more heavily towards the 572xp, and getting it ported as well.
