Hi Royb, I caught my son doing that once and told him that he would go blind if he didn't stop, he just said, " Dad, I'm over here!"

Anyone can be beat.. if it's your day you win if it's not you lose.
I have heard that Cliff builds some wicked stuff but I have neaver seen any of his saws run but I have seen Ed's run they are fast. Their is going to be a friendly get together (saw race) at Dan Henrys in McClure Pa. the 10th of April I think their will be some fast clubs their and I'm forsure you would be welcome to attend.
I didn't know of the race in Chardon either that's only about an hour from me please tell us where it take place I will be their. Nice to hear about all the races in ohio.

yep Bill won Minden last year by .01 of a second over Woodland which was running a normal stroke saw , now he will be running a stroker this year ,Jerry G. is very good but you cannot say he is the best because you have not seen alot of guys that will not travel to the states from Quebec and father east of there, and like you say i have seen jerry win everything and then again not win a thing . it all happens to us .Last year he only placed 5 th in the open here in Minden just had a bad day, last year i only ran at 1 show but am going to run lots this year , there was just no time working 2 jobs .
but as far as operator's go i would put Cliff as good as Jerry and also Gaston ,there is alot of good guys out there and when you put them in wood they are use to they are hard to beat

It would be helpful if you could post the contact person's address for the Chardon Show. Hopefully I can get a saw together by then.

Another contest you may be interested in is Flatwoods, WV, on May 22. They have Hotsaw, saw provided stocksaw, a bunch of handsawing and chopping. Call the West Virginia Forestry Association at 304-372-1955 to get more info.

Have you been to the Nelsonville, OH show?

HuskyMan that show in April , i am sure you know that you have to be invited to go to it if it is the Freeman's show

Ed,

I didn't know anything about that show, thanks for the information. I'm out of the loop for the Ohio shows. I might go just to watch, anyway. I'm anxious to get back into the contests now that the weather is getting better.

Chuck

The last time I talked to Cliff, he was working on a stroker 088. Do you know how it turn out?

Dave N. when is your show this year , july 3rd or on the 4th , i guess Cliff's would be on Friday the 2nd

Well i just sent Cliff a PM to see when his show is and if we can come plus Dave you never PM me to tell me when your show is so we can go to 2 shows in the same weekend

Hi Ed, it must be 3 oclock, you are sounding like Tony Marks.
Anyway, thanks for staying up so late and polishing the works for my 2100 woodsaw.
John
