I bought a used lacrosse helmet and put a forestry helmet screen over the steel face cage. Orginially bought it for up in the tree, but have been wearing it on the ground too. Husky chaps and a Stihl chainsaw shirt round out my fashion ensemble. Last piece of the puzzle I need are some good steel-toed boots and maybe some of those chainsaw gloves. I'd rather take a few extra little breaks to cool down and drink some water than take a big break to go to the hospital.

I don't think you did.

ok smartypants. tie this around a truck hitch and tell me how easy it is to untie

substitute hairbrush for truch hitch. keep in mind this is a regular truck hitch ball, not a pintle/military hitch that you can slide the knot off of

Its true, I do love to hate you, you hit it right on the head but yeah I posted a pic of me srt-ing up a tree to catch a parrot and used a clove on my truck hitch. came right out when I was done. And of course held fast while I went up. Now of course this wasn't a good thing to do, the clove on the ball that is but The Dan can. He is the guy who does all my climbing. He is my climber. He's is kinda an ####### and he really don't like you.

Dan, we used to call that a cross claw. We used to butt hitch limbs with that knot. Very easy to untie.

Yeah, I don't think that is a clove. we just have a smack talking kid here by the way.

maybe he should post some pics of just how great he is.

tie it to a hitch ball and throw the weight of your truck against it. it wont come out easily. its a clove hitch, made for light loads

Actually, I meant to say that we would butt hitch spar chunks with that knot. You can whip it once and untie it sometimes. It How I use to rope down chunks before I used a block. It's easy to untie even after it has been shock loaded. We use to call it collaring the tree down.

sorry but you're wrong. srsly not trying to be rude or prove anything. you either are tying a different knot or didnt load it enough. i used it to tie on multiple limbs till i realized the groundies were having such trouble with it (when loaded too much) so i switched to this:
