Help! 024 throttle linkage driving me up a tree!

I'm reassembling an 024, but I've encountered ONE problem I cant figure out, the damm throttle linkage will hook up fine, till I pull the trigger, then it pops out of the slot on the carb every frikkin time. someone tell me how the hell to fix this right before I go nuts. PLEASE.

Is the wire busted in the end. or does it twist itself out in some weird manor?

The rod keeps sliding out to the right on the carb, I cant understand it, unless I have a part thats wrong.

You probably have the IPL. Look at page 21, part #20.

Ok,tried it the right F#$@#ing way, it STILL dont work right. I'm just gonna have the dealer fix it I'm gonna bust something if I dont have a smoke and put this infernal thing down.

Yeah, I have a rather short temper sometimes. some times I get so frustrated that I just have to have a smoke or go nuts.

Well since Oldsaw is only 17 years old he is not of legal age to smoke cigarettes nor drink beer. It is against the law, As if that ever stopped anyone.

Been there, done that. Nicotine never really sanks its claws into me (my lungs always started to hurt once I got up to 1/2 pack a day), but alcohol sure did. Alcohol is a d@mn strong & stubborn monkey.

Don't you hate it when stuff doesn't work right? There is a perversity about "matter" that is amazing. Like when the special nut drops to the floor and starts rolling fast straight for that tiny crack in the wall. You know exactly what is going to happen as you watch the nut vanish like a hole-in-one as if it has a mind of its own!

I still have a little fine tuning to do, but I got it going enough that I can run it. its better than the string in hand method I was gonna use lol.

what can I say? plan B isnt always better than alternate plan A. I used plan A v1.2, it worked better than B. god help me if I ever need to resort to plan Z lol, that would mean I've gone through EVERY possible option, and failed.

nah, by that point I'd have gotten so frustrated I would have gotten out the 10-10 for limbing work. good to have backups for the backups. if everything goes down, I'm pretty unhappy, and by then, setting things ablaze.
