As it turns out, our area charges a lot more for the 575 than the 441. I had a quote of near $1,000.00 for a 575, case. 3 chains, and 24" bar.

The 441 was under $800.00 for all the above, plus another chain, 2 gallons of bar oil, and a scabbard with extension. Prices were after taxes were added on.

as long as there were 365's available we couldn't get anyone to buy a 362xp. And now those are almost gone. I ordered some up last week and could only get them with 18" bars. Everything else said "part no longer available"

This is the down side of having all of the saws prepacked with the bars and chains. As of last week, there were no 362's available with 20" bars. There were about 70 with 24's and 200 to 300 with 18". Probably some with 16's as well. I liked it better when they were packed "Power Head Only" I went and ordered them with 24's, but will likely sell the 24" bars off the shelf and put 20's on the saws.

I agree with Troll that it would be nice with an 18", but people want 'em with 20's.

I think that when these are gone, that will be it for the 362.

My 365 came with a 20" b&c. I like the feel of it a lot, it balances really nice. I haven't held a 365 with a 18" b&c so I can't say for sure if I'd like it or not. I know I like the feel of the 359/357XP/2156 with an 18" b&c but they're a lighter saw all together. I think the 365 with a 18" b&c might be a little heavy in the rear for my liking. ;)

Good grief, that's all I paid for my new MS660 last summer.($1000 tax incl.)

Tacoma, the 440, 441, 372, or the 7900 are all good choices. My 372 has been a great saw. The 7900 will be my next new saw.

The hard number on the 441 was 769 out the door. As I mentioned before, 24" bar, 4 chains, Scabbard with extension, Case, and 2 gallons of bar oil. I don't know if it was a smoke'n deal or not, but I was okay with it.

Spoken from experience...The 575 is a strong smooth cutting saw..It has a little more grunt than a 440...It seems like it's more torquey than a 441...I've used it several times against my 440,it's heavier but seems better balanced..But between the 441 and 575..It's too close of a race to pick a winner...I actually favor the 575 to the 441,but to each is own
