This is really an informative site. I need help identifying an old Jonsered I bought USED back around 1979 or '80 to see if parts are still available. A dealer swears it's a 621 but I'm not so sure he is right. You see, he ordered anti-vibration parts for the front bar handle and they don't fit, so I am leary whether its a 621. I did a search on this form and found a thread showing Jonsered ips's (www.jonsered-uk.com), but it only goes back to 1980. My saw dates back at least to the 1970's. It does have a silver top, almost rips your arm off trying to pull the cord, and has MADE IN ITALY written on the fan/flywheel. The serial # is 457567. Can anyone help. Thanks Bob

My 49SP owners manual lists the flywheel as being made my "Pagani" and my spare flywheel says "made in italy". An italian flywheel on an older Jonsereds saw is correct.

Sedanman's right. Most (all?) old Jonseys used Pagani electrical systems. Bring on da pics.

My 111S's Pagani system's really weird. Flywheel magnet core bolted into flywheel, stator coil and points under the flywheel, spark coil and condensor both mounted remotely and away from each other.

just took some pictures and can't attach them because each one is about 335kb. I'll try something else tomorrow. Open for suggestions - I'm not too good using this hi-tech equipment

You can reduce the physical dimensions using a resize command and increase the JPEG compression. You want 640x480 and around 65%.

Model 80?

After looking at the site (www.acresinternet.com) that Sedanman recommended I think it is a modle 80. What do you think? Next I think I will weigh the saw. How about getting points, condensor, airfilter etc? thanks

Tony, I noticed in another thread that you have an ipl for the 621. I was wondering if you have one for the 80 and if you do is it possible to post it here. Thanks bob

It smells like an 80, but the guys who know Jonsereds really well can tell for sure. Nice saw, I think the second-largest of the silvertop period.

BTW: Do any of you guys know if the 111 was the only Jonsey back then with hidden AV mounts? Just curious. All the other '70s models seem to have the exposed type.

AV mounts

John,
My 801 has mounts that I would call hidden AV type, don't know if they are the same as yours
