HELP Max RPM for 2152 and 2159?

I've always wondered why, at least here in the States, the 2159 is rated at 4.1 hp with a max RPM of 13,800, and the 359 is rated at 3.9 hp with a max of 13,500. I've always assumed it had something to do with ignition modules, but I'm not basing that assumption on an IPL, either. I know there has been some talk about that 0.2 difference in hp here on AS, but I'm not sure I ever heard anything definitive on why it is.

Definitely let us know what you hear from Jonsered, though!

The 2059 and 359 both performed 2.9 kW/3.9 hp when tested by DLG/KWF, but the 2059 is rated at 3.0 kW/4.1 hp by Jonsered in Europe also.

This is for the Homeowner saws, 2141, 2145, 2150, and for the Professional saws, 2147, 2152, 2156, 2159.
The factory carb settings are counter clockwise out from light clockwise stop; H = 1, L = 1, then the carb is tuned and set to 600 – 700 RPM lower then Max RPM (this is from the factory).
After at least 3 – 4 hour brake in period, the carb should then be re-tuned.

I think I will say a BIG thank you to Jonsered Norway, that send me more answer than I asked for

I don't know, but the specs I have given here is from the technical workshop manual :taped:

The .2 hp is a result of just a .1 kW difference, and the 3.9 hp for the 359 is a rounded down number.

Remember that E-lux owned both brands when these saws were introdused, and all the saws are made by Husky.
My guess is that the difference is just marketing, to compensate for the fact that the more powerful 357xp design wasn't availiable as a Jonsered before several years after it was introduced by Husky.......:bang: :bang: :jester:
