I've got a 95 pound laprador. My wife's lap, not mine; you'd think that she would learn not hold them when they're cute 'little' pups. Oh yeah, he doesn't like swimming. Go figure. He's a typical friendly lab, but still makes a good burgular detererrent.

Success finally!!

Followed the suggested protocol and after 1 more unsuccessful round and then an hour break I finally got the saw started. The unfortunate aspect is that it was a bit late (rugrat was already in bed), so I didn't get to cut anything

It was quite the relief to finally hear the 2strokescream

:blob2: :blob2: :blob2: Now what did you do differently the second time tonight in order to get it to start?

(unless you pull like a girl).
You said you wouldn't make fun of me for that  Ya I want a decomp valve on my PM6

I pulled the cover off, pulled the plug to look at it and make sure that it wasn't soaked. It wasn't. Looked at it quizzically for a bit. Replaced the plug and placed it on the floor without the cover. Started pulling (no choke) and had the most productive sounds yet. Still wasn't starting, but was close. Pull out choke, 1 pull, push in choke. Pull some more, getting very close, but can't quite transition to the throttle. Sweat, sweat, sweat, cuss, cuss, mf saw, sweat, cuss. Pull ~4 more times and we have lift off. I think that the cussing is what finally got us over the top. ;)

And you make fun of PULL-ONs. lol. This one sounds like a candidate. If one of my poulans acted like this it would be in parts by now.

I don't know the 353, but it sounds like this one wasn't tuned at all. You might need to open up the low speed jet a little, or find someone who knows what they are doing so you can get it tuned right.
