That sounds way to complicated JPS. I get the concept though.

Actually no, Tom D. came up with it. It is one of those V8 moment things. You put them back to back and you have the response of the VT with function of the old prussic hitch lanyards.

If you want to take some of the jingly stuff out of it, use the front with a tender pulley, and he back with a knute or mixiochan (a Blakes in a closed tress style) I've seen people tie them right to the left D-ring to take the carabiners out. That does not work for me, because I have three sizes and switch them out regularly.

I'm glad your climber is using a helmet but what about you and your ground men? I have seen what a 5 foot long by 2 inch diameter dead limb can do to a skull when it hits pointy end first. BTW, good job on the take-down and clean-up.

he looks like a grown man.

Thanks for the responce. I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about climbing. I hire a person to do it. I tell him it's his show when he's up there and to let me know what he needs. I will mention the helmet to him and I even have a climbing helmet he can use. I'm all about taking my lumps. That's why I'm here to learn.

Thanks Scott

if he wanted to wear a helmet,i'm sure he would be.

The ground men are usually just my father and I. I wear a chainsaw helmet with the ear flaps and face screen. Dad usually doesn't wear anything. He says he 60 and has never wore one and doesn't need one. He's dad so what do I say.
