hey all. got a hq 257 with walbro hda carb that "Bubba" before me tightened high speed carb screw in so tight that it broke tip and it lodged inside carb.
i removed main nozzle and tried pushing tip back out via fuel hole. but its really in there as its like a taper fit. i need something with a almost 180*angle thats very small diameter to get in hole, but also pretty strong as small wire bends when i force it. tried sonic cleaner to see if that help to remove
anyone found anything that one might use?
will post pics tonight
btw new carb is $300.+ walbro has seemed to jack the prices of all their parts lately
thanks in advance

Sparkplug gap gauge tool? I'm thinking of the kind that has a series of L-shaped stiff wire gauges on the end. But I would question whether the seat of the valve is any good at this point. How deformed is it likely to be from a screw that was tightened so much that it broke off?

thanks for replies.
Here is some pics.
I have the probes from Honda that are similar to 3d probes and they are also strong and will bend to a degree as i bent one trying to force with pliers

I dont think that I can heat up too much as a rubber check valve is close to it. I might be able to freeze it and try warming the casting around it with a soldering iron maybe and bang it out?

The other thing am wondering if the high speed adjustment hole does not directly lead to hole in main nozzle, as there is another hole 90* from it? (Not the fuel holes in middle shown in pic- but inside nozzle cavity) Or the tip is really in there
Look into spark plug gap tool

Certain acids will react far more with steel than aluminium... I used sulphuric (sulfuric) acid to remove an easy out that snapped off in an aluminium head a few years back (one of those 10 minute jobs that turns into a 2 day ordeal)

It’s the 2 day ordeal that I’m trying to avoid. I didn’t break it, so I can’t spend hours on it- bench time is money. So have to see what owner wants to do.
The piston is just starting to show signs of running lean from it already.
I don’t know why people reef the crap out of small screws and nuts.
