whats the average cut off bar length on a wood processor?

I’m thinking about the cut off bucking part of a processor. The drive sprocket is bored with a keyway. Two pillow blocks with a keyed shaft should work hydraulic driven to crank the chain. Then a flow controlled cut off bar on hydraulic cylinder should work.? A doulble detent control valve just push it once
