Im one of these new guys to milling and have a homelite 550 that I think would do a good job, but Im having a hard time finding a longer bar, like 32 or larger. I have a 30" pantherpro mill, any info would be great

You may want to inquire under the Chainsaw tab, "stickies", and then Homelite chainsaws. The guys there will know for sure.
I just took a quick look and saw a new 36" sprocket nose on ebay. That Homelite bar mount uses a 9.5mm bar slot as does the large Husqvarna mount, so worst case scenario, a large mount Husky bar could be modified (adjuster holes modified, possibly oiler holes).

Yeah, check out ebay, I bought a new Oregon 30" bar for my XL925. I'm thinking I only paid about 35 bucks for it, Joe.
I just checked ebay under Homelite XL925, I only looked at a couple pages, and the biggest one I saw was a 28" for 65 or 70 bucks. I knew I should have bought all 3 of those 30" bars for what I paid, Joe.
There is a 28" Homelite bar for $59, new, with 6 available, Joe.
