Ive got a 24" 925 that is my "Big" saw

Its in good shape (fresh top end)

It seems to have plenty of power with the 24" & full chisel chain.

I was thinking of putting on a 20' bar & a 8 tooth sprocket to gear it up a little.

I assume it will handle this just fine.

Any suggestions ??

Hey Mike
No luck yet here on the 360 carb. I know I have one somewhere but just can not find it.
On the XL925 do you have a rim sprocket on it? Or are you haveing to change teh clutch drum and all. Oregon powermate number for it looks to be 30666. I can double check my books to be sure. If you need the powermate let me know. Its sitting here on the desk. I may even have a 3/8 x 8 to put in the box too.

Bob, Ive got good news. I found my carb today-at work. Just where I thought it might be.

Yes, I have a rim sprocket on my 925 7t right now.

Mike: The GBA8L7 rim sprocket is about 6 bucks. It fits the standard 7 spline hub, is 3/8 pitch and is 8 tooth. I have a SXL925 that I bought new in 1972. It does fine with a 31 inch sprocket nose bar (3/8 pitch, .058 gauge).
