Actually, there's a couple little differences between the tanks Lee. The 1050, 2100s, C72's, etc. had a slightly different setup for the oiler valves than the 2000 and XP1000. If ya look just behind where the handle attaches at the top on the tank, the later versions had a cutout with a kinda wave in it. The wave was to clear the new oiler valve location. The earlier stuff just went straight back. The XP1000 also had the smaller front cover used on the C series, but the 1050, 2100 and others had a larger one for greater fuel capacity.

great info Dan, and as they say, "so close but yet so far away"

I am more than impressed by the beadblasting the parts look like new.
Should be something to see when you have finished.
By the way you are an awfull tease having the Solo Twin in the background !

I was able to assemble the crankcase
and oil system tonight. New crank bearings
as well.

Looking great so far lee. I assume that's also an auto oiler saw with
manual overide? If so where is the oiler located and how does it work? I ask cause there is so much in common between that and the c series and xp series that you could get a parts saw that's no good and use the clutch side case and now have an auto oiler c series etc.

It is an auto oiler. I believe they all were.
I just didn't get the pump in yet.
It is located right behind the clutch.
I got all the other oil parts installed.

Lee, you and wildman have me so pumped up to get to work on my 2 Super 1050's. That 2100 is sweet. I've always wanted one. When my Dad bought his second 1050 his buddy ran out and got a 2100 to make him jealous. I should have bought it when he retired. Thanks for the pictures, Joe.

Well Guys and Gals. It is almost done.
I have a couple small things to do but
so far i'm pleased.
I know the half wrap handle bar doesn't
do it any justice but it's the only handle
bar i had. I'm on the look out for a nice
full wrap. HINT, HINT if anyone knows of
one for sale i would appreciate it.
I have a set of decals coming and will post
more pic's when applyed.
Hope all has enjoyed.
