Homelite XL Buy it Yes or Know

I saw a nifty little saw online near me. The description is kinda vague but it is a Homelite XL and says 14in so the small one. Lister says it doesn't run but the saw looks surprisingly good. The label is Homelite Textron Charlotte, NC and has an auto oiler.

$25 I might give it a shot and see if I can get it to run. Any advice before I splurge on this one? Is it worth it?

$25 isn't a huge splurge for a neat little saw but it's really too small to be of much use, be better if it was one of the top handle saws and could be used with one hand. Check for spark, if good, it probably just needs fuel lines and carb rebuild.

The Mike Acres site says an XL is a top handle, 30cc saw. For $25 that would be a handy little saw to get running.

Didn't think it was a top handle, I guess it is a twin trigger and I couldn't see the front trigger in the picture.
