You do realize that the spamster above me dredged up a thread that's seven years old just to shill his XL100 right? The fellow you're quoting about the NIB 048 made his post in 2003. The spamster (kbeitz) also did the same thing in an even older thread (2002) about David Bradley saws. I betcha a case of your favorite beer (against a case of mine) that he will soon post up an egay link for a DB saw.....
Don't feel bad. I did the same thing when I first read this thread. Replied to Bill G's 2003 post about the NOS Homelite demo saws...............then saw sachsmo's post about "pulling one out of the basement". Realized the error of my ways and deleted my post. Went on my rant afterwards...

That describes better than 50% of the guys here Bill, including 100% of the guys involved in this conversation. I haven't quite reached 'oficial' middle-aged status, but I'm close enough (and my attitude certainly makes up for the years)...
