Almost nothing... The RMC replaces the RM. Very slightly different and supposedly a smoother ride. I can't tell the difference in ride...

A tiny bit of metal have been "removed" from the heels of the tie straps and cutters on the "comfort" chains.

Thanks for the explanation - I guess that gives the chain a slightly lower overall profile going into the wood, so less 'bumpy', smoother ride.:popcorn:

It probably allowes the cutter to rock a tiny bit backwards when cutting, before the heel hits the bar, and the heels of the pure tie-straps probably seldom hit the bar (just a guess, really)........:biggrinbounce2:

Thanks everyone, I will get the new improved saftey chains RMC3 for now and in the future when I feel more comfortable cutting I will probably get regular semi-chisel chain.

Just bought a new RMC3, nothing special at all. To be honest the PM1 for my little saw cuts smoother and better in my opinion.
