Bill, absolutely not ruling out anything as points of reference, but when we have to read through 2 pages of vehicle air filter arguments mixed in with childish remarks, enough is enough.

I might add that I am not saying these things as a moderator of this forum but as one who is reading this thread to learn something about air filtration.

Huskyman, didn't Cutters Edge go to 2171? And is that filter what comes on the saw?

We have one on our fire dept and it is a 2165. We just bought it last year, and it rips. I think they are all 2165's for roof ventilation.
The filter that comes with it is a paper type filter on a stack with a foam "headband" around it

They are Jonsered "western saws" with full wrap bars and brush fire type filters

When I bought the saw it had the normal stock filter, because Dan had included it with the saw. I used the stock stack and bought the K&N filter for it. It works good as long as it is kept clean and oiled.

People in glass houses......

Dang, this must be one hot issue, but it looked unreadable.

Squirrel or Llama, no difference to me.

So the "debate" was over an aftermaket filter?

I am sorry, but the thread was unreadable, the squirrel angle
does interest me though. Is this a grey/gray squirrel?

I think the grey squirrels around these parts use the K & N but the red squirrels are using stock filters. We don't have llamas.

Got flying squirrels in the roof: They are working the night shift though so cant tell you what filters their running.
