Every piston after some running time, will exhibit some 'score' marks but those superficial ones in no way adversely impact the performance of the saw. Having said that, if the cooling fins are loaded with the gummy swarf present in the picture, I'd say you need to clean the saw up. A clean jug is a cool running jug.
