I have a 2002 BC 1230A vermeer. It has two rollers. I have a 2 inch gap between them. I have adjusted the two nuts on top that hold the giant spring? Now what do I do?

Thanks

There a large bolt under the dust flap between the rollers , but watch out if they touch they will bind and rip the bolts off the pump with ease , I know this cause I did this ....It sits facing the left roller made of all thread and a set nut

I saw that bolt. I tried to turn it , but couldn't. HMM , guess I'll try again!

Thanks

Yea thats it , its a nightmare to break loose if you never have , please be mindful of the space you will really screw yourself quick If the roller rocks like mine the top can touch the other roller ..

those giant springs get weak.

no one seems to want to replace them but they stretch like hell.makes a big difference with a new one.Sometimes you can find an industrial spring dist and match it up close or get a better one.Keeps you from getting raped by Vermeer.

another bit of advice.take the rubber mat off the top of the roller area and clean all that crap out of the top of the rollers.shop vac works good.all that grit eats the seals and eventually the bearings.anyone who has redone the roller bearings knows what a lousy, miserable job it is. Most times you don't know they have failed before they seize and the shaft of the wheel motor snaps.
