How do you store your chains, both in the field or on the job, and also in your shop?

Most guys around here throw them in the back of their truck bed,
and think I am trying to sell them new chains when I refuse to
try to sharpen their old ones

I like to keep my chains in a coffee can with a little oil in it to keep the chains from getting all stiff and rusty, this goes for everywhere I go, shop and field.

Keep them in a LABELED box in the truck so when I need one I take it out and put it on. Rest of them are also in labeled boxes in the garage. Keep a roll of chain ready to cut when needed. They usually do not sit around long enough for the original oil to drain off.

Hanging on marked hooks in the rigging trailer, and soon in my new shop. In the feild they get wrapped in newspaper and put in a 1 gallon baggie in my pack.

Nice

Well,you won't have a moisture problem:D I'm not as organized,got um hanging on nails,in the shed,about 60 of them.It is sometimes a pain,because,for example,a Mac 20"is 70 dl's and a Stihl is 72.I've got them from 12"to 48"and another 25,still in the original packages.
