How many of you use the oil adjustment on stihl chainsaws?

Turns out the 261 doesn’t have a lockout pin. 😳
Turn it up all the way and go cut wood! You may run into bar oil issues if

1. Cutting with a dull chain
2. Dead, dry wood.
3. Cutting bar buried.
4. Cutting sappy wood, especially in the spring.

Just spin the chain to re-oil the bar.

You could also alter the control bolt and piston to get more stroke. There is a tutorial I've seen somewhere that details how to do this IIRC.

The thread is over on the other site. It is about modifying an 044 with its unique (to an 044) oil pump. Although I haven't done it, it doesn't appear to be particularly easy.
