Me the climber and 2 ground employees that hump hard and fast gets most jobs done. If I need more help I go to a local labor finding agency. $11 per hour for unskilled brush dragging log rollers. That includes WC coverage. I don't like to move trees. I size the crew to the job so that when I touch down the tree is stacked and all that's left is a pole to throw. I pack gear or move on to the next tree while they move the logs. I want my body to last!

At least two on the ground makes it easier and safer in my opinion. One on the let down and the other on a pull rope when needed. How could one Ground man pull and let down safely? There's always more than one way to do things (ex: take smaller pieces), but safety first, productivity 2nd, and the more help the merrier.:D

What's up, Graduate Dawg?

When ya headed off to boot camp?

Not much, been spending too much time at the gun shop! I went to flordia a week ago and it has messed up my schedule (kinda hard to give bids in another state).

No boot camp here, in the ROTC program it is an elective, not required.

I start classes at Mississippi State University on August 18, which begins the day off right with a nice 6 o'clock PT with the ARMY. Except on Thursdays, I will be done at or before 12 every day, on thursdays I got a one hour class at 2. That should leave time to do some tree work if I desire.

I reckon I need to call ya sometime, its been a bit since the last time.

Most days I still prefer the 1 man crew:D

Usually do the one man thing myself, just annoying when I do not listen to what I tell myself to do.

Ya, one man here and regret it half the time. Neat thing I've found a couple of people from other professions who want to get out of their office and spend a day or two as ground person.

Well see. Today alone, was not OK, it doubled my effort and energy to get done what was usually easy.
