i pay a tiny bit lower than that. but with me and my crew you'll never have a dull moment. people have been known to work for my company just for the entertainment value.

Well Clearence has took more than his fair share of comments on the spike issue. Time to put that away!!!

You are so concerned with him spiking trims............concern yourself with paying a respectable wage!!!

In the piedmont of SC, with experience and certification, expect to start around 16 or more per hour.

I think it would help if you, Budders, clarified if you are talking about being an employee subcontracted help as you referred to a per day rate. Huge differences in pay here for obvious reasons.

missed the or btwn employee (or) subcontracted help

Forget the States or Canada!
Look for ads here in Bermuda - prob $25-$35 per hr, or a good salary, you'd probably have to do a bit of landscaping too, health insurance, pension, paid holiday and sick leave. Sub tropical climate, beaches to die for,
Down side - petrol is over $5 a gallon, rent is sky high, food is expensive, its HOT in the summer.

A couple of companies I know advertise in Hort. Weekly, otherwise keep an eye on the classifieds on line in the Royal Gazette! One company here just hired a guy from the UK.

We pay $12.50 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience for climbers. Now that is for employee not contractor. We have some contract guys that get $300.00 a day and they provide rope, saddle and climbing saw.

I was thinking of just geting a flight over and taking it from there,we dont really get to deal with BIG trees that often, maybe 50-60 feet at the most,if we do get a big take down we use the platform because of the health and safty over here is so tight.
