Done! Stuff is all packed and crated and on the way to the U.S. Snapped a few pics today; see below.

Built a few quickie plywood crates for the bars.

Movers did a pretty good job of marking all my stuff. They were quite amused/bewildered/in awe at the levels of chainsaw and general tool excess.

Pretty close to being done here. Can't wait to get back to the states so I can ditch these cheesy plastic shelf units and buy or build something sturdy that will last a while.

Got all the saws unpacked. Looks like everything made it back ok. Still have some more organizing to do, and a lot of selling. If I'm going to fit my 68 GTO in the garage, I have to sell several dozen saws...

Here's the back wall of the garage - all Jonsereds.

@Dub11

Here's another family pic - a pair of Solo Twins and a quartet of Echo twins. Got some yellow saws on the bottom shelf (SP125 and a 797; a Partner snuck in there too) and a few Hoosky MS90's second from the top. Have a few Poulan loaners on the top shelf.

There's also a BLK58 on the bottom right. The blue saws are a Homelite and a few Companion MS2's (one complete and one carcass).

I been saying that for years, but I have yet to even try to sell one saw. Must be the CAD.....

I've already sold several, including all of my diesel saws (XA Jonsereds and Comet) and several other Holy Grail saws, so I've broken the proverbial seal on selling. Plan is to sell all the Jonsereds and most of my other stuff and keep some Stihls to use (can you say 10 saw plan?) and I'll continue with collecting Stihl 1106 series.

Thanks

How about some pictures of the goat!

Sure. It's a '68 convertible, owner-built 455 with a forged bottom end, Comp flat tappet juice cam, ported iron heads, Performer RPM with a Cliff Ruggles modified Q-jet. Should be close to 500 hp on pump gas.

I built the trans, too -- dual feed TH400 with a custom converter from Continental. Rear diff is a factory 3.90 with a limited slip. Color is Nordic Blue. Interior is Parchment (off white). Runs and drives but needs a bit of sorting out.

Car is fairly quick; if the planets line up just right, it should dip into the 11' s in the quarter.

Nice car! Car of the year. My favorite car was a 69 ragtop. Had hardtop’s also. One of my best friends had a 68 ragtop too lost it in a nasty divorce. No ac with 390’s. Ho car or Ram air?

Rear diff came out of another car. This wasn't an HO or Ram Air car, although I did have a 70 RAIV. Pepper Green over black guts. Optioned to race with a RAIV, M21, 4.33, manual steering, manual drums, poverty caps. Won Concours Best Restored at 2013 GTOAA Nationals and was featured in a few magazines, but it was too nice to drive/beat on, so I sold it.

That 70 is unreal! Holy grail car. I always wanted a iv car or even the heads. Hell I would have taken anything Round port. I had a 75 ta I sold to a guy with an original raiv. I think he judges nationally. From n.e. Philly. I think 5c were on my ta originally. Best of luck with the 68

Yeah, that car was sick. I normally do my own driveline builds and farm out the body and paint, but this one was out of control. Jim Lehart in VA did a Pure Stock build on the engine -- no porting allowed, but had 12:1 compression, H-beam rods, very slight cam mods (within rules), a Cliff Ruggles carb, and the M21 built by Jody Haag and stuffed with M22 guts. Darrell Davidson (Supercar Creations in Ohio) did the resto; he's a GTO Ass'n of America judge and specializes in Pontiacs. My car was in the running for Best of Show, but we got beat out by a 70 RAIV Orbit Orange Judge that was an open checkbook build.
