How would you guys take down a 15ft emerald cedar, I think its not that big of a tree for some of you guys but I'm not much into tree service..

You hack the limbs off 1st then go for the big piece... right?

How much would you guys charge to take down a tree something like this? take it right down to the stump..

take it down to the ground, cut it up, and leave it there?

or cut it down and haul it away?

haul away = between $300.oo - $600.oo

Depending on the conditions...

Na, it's a one hand job with a couple of bags of cut up stuff.

An hour, which includes clean up. Disposal around here is $10 to 15. Hourly rate is what you get.

Good luck getting $300 for that. Even better luck getting $600.

well, 'round hurr we have some nasty looking Oaks that people have topped, usually 2' in diameter, so I was just thinking of some of the usual jobs I have done. So, yeah, Master would be about right in the $150.oo price range

Yah, I got $250 for the job..

and it woulda been done in about 3-4hrs...

but my freaking pole saw busted up on me and I had to use a manual pole pruner!

Tis the season

Cut her down, bring her home, put her in the house with some bulbs and garlin. Give them 15 bucks.
Merry Christmas

I'm curious, Chad, what you do for representing figures that aren't even-dollar amounts.  Around these parts (up north, to you) we use numerals instead of letters when we want to represent digits.

ha ha ha ha Hey, if the kid can actually get that kind of money for 15' removals I say go for it:D I'd even hire him as a salesman and pay him 20% commisions on those prices.

Make up your mind already. :p

3-4 hours on a 15 foot tree? I took out 3 junipers once thatwere 0nly 15 feet tall but covered a 40foot diameter circle-That was a sizable job with a bunch of clean up. A bum was actually living in the middle of the clump. The evil tree man made a homeless man have to vacate the spot he was squatting/trespassing on-Mike would probably have been outraged. Other than those huge ,overgrown shrubs I can't recall ANY 15 foot trees that I could't wipe out in under an hour-even with nothing but hand tools!

I could check with Mike on this, but I believe that 15' trees in our area are about 14-16' tall. Somewhere in that neighborhood.

Minimum always is $225, unless you're the neighbor for something small.

We charge $225 to steal away customers from Xander, who charges a $250 minimum.

I'll then steal both your customers because I have a $150 minimum, soon to be $200 come Jan. 1, 2005. :D

I would have probably charged my minimum amount for that tree, unless we were already working in the neighborhood. I don't charge my regular minimum if it is a job next door to where we are already working. Then my minimum charge is $20.
