tannerite (FIRST! )
No need for equipment. Just walk/climb up the tree about 2/3 of the way and start jumping.

OK Brian, now how would "You" fall it?I know how i would ,but how would "YOU "
Good one!A Tirfor is a great tool for that if the Unimog is in for service LOL
I would cut it down with a chainsaw . If that don't work a choker will drag it out from there .I have had bigger trees hung up before and had good luck dropping another tree across it also ,the weight of the impact will break it or bring it on down .OK Brian, now how would "You" fall it?

Very true ,it is possible to hang the second one up ,this one is in an open enough area i would not have to do that ,the choker would drag it out quicker .Dropping a second tree doesn't always work. Big chance that you may end up with more stuck trees then you started with.
If it can't be winched, I usually just undercut it piece by piece until the tree is down.
That is exactly how i do overhead stuff ,bore in then feel the tree up and down in the cut ,then nip the top or bottom strap to finish it off without pinching the bar .Simple to do Brian, plunge in, cut down and then up if you want to show off. Lol
Or cut a shallow top kerf then finish with an upcut.
I'll be honest you have more balls then I do, that being said alder loves to chair out if you look at them wrong.an ax works well to free it from the stump
Selling tickets?I got closer to it,it is about 9 feet off the ground, picture looks shorter ,also the power feeding my home is just behind the top of this tree,it will get a choker and a tug with my pickup to pull it towards the road ,i will put tention on it ,then make a face opposite the lean,a reg backcut then drive away to pull it from the power lines
