How's your EZ-START ?

The Husqvarna/Poulan Easy start saws I have used did not seem anywhere near as mushy as Stihl and Echo starters. The H/P style seem to pull over much like a standard starter only smoother and with less resistance.
The starter I liked best was on a Chinese Zenoah copy ("clone"). Just a long smooth steady pull and it fired right up, not much resistance or effort at all.
If you get rough with any them, they don't like it and something will end up broken.
Yeah, I liked that zenoah one too, but too much pulling when it was cold so it got converted to normal

I have a Dolmar 5105 with EZ Start, from what I have gathered your supposed to pull it slowly through tdc a couple times then pull as normal? It is what I try to remember to do anyway. Is that the correct way? Also if this rig breaks what kind of hell am I looking at to repair it?

Dont worry about tdc just pull slowly for the full length of the pull rope.
It's the opposite of pulling normal saws, long, slow and smooth, that's why people dont like it, with normal starters you give it a short quick yank.
