These red maples released a bumper crop of seeds this year. And they sprouted in the veggie garden, lots of 'em. I raked up as many as I could but didn't get 'em all.
Am considering covering the garden with a tarp until them dang seeds are done falling next year.
My granddaddy used to stratify seeds in the butter dish compartment of the fridge door. The only reason Granny didn't gripe was because some of the seeds were for shrubs and whatnot that she wanted. Gotta keep Mama happy.
