Two locations I want to point out. Bar wear on the bar behind the cover, below the two studs. And on the cover itself. Looking for suggestions as to why and how to correct. Thanks in advance.

Only thing I saw that might, and I stress the might part, is the play between the splines and the sprocket at the end of your video, allowing too much play where it contacts the clutch . That chain is pretty well shot as well.

Shot? Really? You should see what I consider shot. :) Why though? It's only half through its tooth life and I just sharpened it, ready to put it back when I noticed the bar.

Were those good-sized burrs on the bar already, or did this "wear" cause the burrs?

Don't toss that chain, plenty of life left in it.

Are you really wrenching down on the bar nuts when tightening? Like as hard as you possibly can? Might be too tight of nuts.

It is a D009 mount bar eh?
Almost like the bar tail is too narrow and the chain is engaging the magnesium of the cover- not the sacrificial plastics.
Don't know what that is.

I put this bar on new this past winter. I don't know the reason for the burrs. I tighten the post nuts good and snug, but I don't bear down on them. Could probably go another 1/8 a turn if I put a good turn on them.

Bar rails are likely not square pulling the chain to one side. In this case it looks like the outside. That bar should have been maintained long ago. The root cause is a dull or incorrectly (unsymmetrically) sharpened chain or perhaps insufficient oil.

Oregon an Pferd make special tools for truing up bar rails. You will likely find one at your dealer. There are also lots of threads on this board on properly maintaining bars.

I was thinking chain might me too tight as well

I don't know if it has anything to do with the bar problem, but why so much side angle on the teeth? it should be straight up or slight forward lean.
That looks like a very grabby chain and that could be pounding the bar.
