I recently Purchase a Husky Modell 55 Chainsaw 1991 Model 31ST Week is Production Date i am fairly Sure. I Pulled it apart as the was quite a Bit of Oil Leaking in and around the Pump to Bar Area, I decided to Pull the Cylinder and check it for Scoring. When I Removed the Cylinder I Noticed the Lip which Protrudes on the Bottom of the Cylinder was Broken on One Side. This is an Open Port Cylinder without Decomp Valve. The Saw didn't seem to have any Blow by around the Cylinder to Crank Gasket Area, Could someone Advise how to Pressure Test this to see if it has a Compression Leak. As I am Replacing Crank Bearings and Seals I Don't want to Waste the Money Already Spent. the Piston Dia. is approx. 45.96mm 90 Degrees from Piston Pin Hole & inside the Piston are the Numbers 048020 on one side & 2811 on the other side. The Piston also Shows 45.937 Etched in the Top of the Piston with 46 Marked on Cylinder Top near Plug Hole. The Cylinder shows the Numbers on the Bottom of the Cylinder EM5036079 01 and measured 45.96mm at Base of Cylinder. Pictures showing Cylinder below. Can anyone tell me if this Cylinder could be salvaged and if it is Unable? Also if anyone has a an NOS or Good used Piston, Cylinder Ring and Rod Bearing
