On edit, looks like I need a new keyboard.....

I am cutting wet pine. The oil holes in the factory bar keep plugging up with fines. Also the slot is holding more fines than my other bars My other saw are no having this issue at all.

Any ideas why? Should I enlarge the oil feed holes just a little?

Note: I have a cheap archer bar on my echo saw and it has much larger oil feed holes, like double the diameter.

My bars with straight holes would clog limbing wet sappy spring cut pine. Port the exit area free of any burr on the leading edge. It's not easy but if you have tiny diamond cutter it's an easy fix that won't clogup again. I did the same thing with all my bars and those issues are long gone with chips and dust plugging them up.

Lightning, can you elaborate more on "port the exit area free of any burr on the leading edge" I cannot comprehend what this means. Do you mean take a dremel and enlarge the hole in the bar and debur after?

I think he means angling the hole towards the bar tip and beveling it off on the edge. Kind of like a tear drop shape instead of a circle. I'm not sure of that though. There are a few threads about oil hole mods and you tube vids as well.
