A local discount builders supply near me used to advirtise cheap chainsaws and other power tools and they were clearly marked as factory reconditioned units. I have a feeling any state attorney general would have something to say about a manufacturer selling seconds without advirtising them as such. I have a Sears repair center near me and could buy a "reconditioned" piece of power equipment if I wanted. My point is: if it's a factory reject, second, or recon unit it had better be marked as such.
