Husqvarna 262xp not starting

Took it apart checked the carb, metering lever is even with the carb body. I am assuming that it is supposed to be that way on an HDA-87? Carb was full of gas when I took off the covers. Coil wire shows no signs of pinching, on/off wire either. Sparks everytime I give it a good pull and hold it up against the cylinder. The muffler had lots of gas in it still even after dumping a lot out of it this morning when I held the saw vertically. Probably still a bit in the case that I will have to get out tomorrow.

I can use break clean instead of carb cleaner to see if I can get it to pop?

turn the saw full upside down, and rotate the crank shaft, the gas will pour out the plug hole if its flooded

clamp off the fuel line, brake clean down the throat ... see if it pops ... keep it simple

@mgr this shows the paper gasket I got in the kit going into the carb on the pump side but when I took it apart there was no paper gasket on that side so I left it out.

So it has pop. Still can't figure out how the pump side gasket and diaphrams go together. Has someone here done a 87 before? On the metering side it goes carb body paper gasket diaphram cover. On the pump there is a rubber and a paper gasket. I had it together carb, diaphram rubber gasket cover but I am wondering if the paper gasket should be in there against the carb then the diaphram then the rubber gasket?

Ok, Carb body, paper gasket, pump diaphragm, cover. thats the order ...

if the pump diaphragm goes directly against the carb body, the metering lever will be held open and you will flood the saw

I have a rubber and paper gasket both cut like 24. Do I leave one out? Do I use both? If so which goes against the carb body?

Both the paper and rubber gasket are cut the same so it is hard to tell which to use since the diagran only lists 'gaskets'.

Paper gasket is on the left. I had the cover, rubber gasket, diaphram and then carb before because that is the way it was when I took it apart but I want to be sure this is correct and that the previous person did not make a mistake.

the tan thingy goes directly against the carb ... then paper gasket, then cover

I'd use either rubber or paper ... one or the other.

It fired up but is not running like it did the first time. I shut it off and can't get it going again. WTF. Going to work now...
